Dan is working on the clay for the oval, and the timing system is here. We should have the loops in place this week!

Nice! TY! I have a XXX-BK2 EDM all set up for Oval.. Will there be a stock or Mod class! No Plans to Clay the other track!? I know it's all about the $$$$ That will for sure bring out the Hard core racers!! So it's just Sundays when there are no Big events at Morosso!?

For now the plan is only to clay the oval. Moroso charges their own gate fee to enter before the track on those weekends and it's usually pretty hefty. So we usually will work on the track and do repairs on those days since most people don't wanna pay the 35-40$ to race.

I don't believe theres any real plans to run clay on the big track. The transponder setup is here and I believe Dan was testing it at the track yesterday. Don't hold me to that but I'm pretty sure.

Wow, lots of cooks in this kitchen! Here's where we stand, as of right now. Its a dirt off-road track, and a dirt oval. Period. There is no clay, and for quite some time there will be no clay. It is a definate consideration especially for the oval, just not financially feasible. Maybe next year, or the year after we'll invest in clay (real, northern clay) but not now. Or maybe if we win the lottery. I personally think the dirt is more fun than clay. Kinda funny you mention "hard-core racers". One example of a track down south: Everybody wanted clay, and now they all complain that the blue-groove chews up there tires too quickly. Cant please everybody and its a never-ending battle, we all know that. Yes we do have the timing system and will be setting it up for use on either track this weekend. There will be several different classes, pending who shows up with what more often. Stock, Spec, Mod (Unlimited), etc. We'll have a few "stock outta the box" classes as well. Like the Kyosho Lazers, or the Losi Late Models and Sliders, or the SLASH! That'll be an awesome class. As far as race days we're still trying to figure out what days or nights to do what, but we're usually out there every weekend regardless of what Moroso is doing. Its going to be fun! Future plans include rock-crawling, dirt and street drags, tug-o-war, etc. etc.

Thank you.. I for one have lots of dirt experience and do like that surfice to run on. Much more forgiving on the tires like you said! So me and what ever crew shows up... Will love whatever you toss at us! Thanks for the nice track! See you there sometime soon!
